In 2011, I became the recipient of a Jerome Foundation study grant, immersing myself in a foreign urban environment as a means of experiencing the themes of alienation, solitude, and otherness, as inspiration for new work. The work that I created as a result of this trip was featured in Kaltblut Magazine and Fred Perry Subculture.
My artwork has been featured at AIGA's Design Impact poster show and the Minneapolis Institute of Art. I served as a portfolio judge and 1-on-1 mentor for two consecutive years with AIGA MN, and a head judge for Technovation's Appapalooza tech challenge — an organization dedicated to helping young women develop tech skills. Most recently, my design work was recognized by Awwwards and picked up an honorable mention for web design.
